My most treasured possession

While I don't treasure many material things, there is one that I do treasure and that is my great-grandmothers pickle jar. When I first saw it I thought it was a sugar bowl because of the tongs. But my Mother said they used it for pickles.

I think it's gorgeous! I bet even more so if it was polished, but I'm terrified to break it so I haven't attempted it. What is your most treasured possession? Perhaps something with sentimental value?

This is beautiful,I have never seen anything like it.
What a treasure!
I too would be scared to try and polish it.
I have a red candy jar that was my Grandmother's that I treasure.
Love your blog... the puppies are so precious and I love your dolls too. You are very talented!

Hi and thanks for the Etsy heart. I lovelovelove that pickle jar. You must get on edge when you have to move or handle it, huh?
I just posted about one of my favorite possessions. It's a yarn sampler that my grandmother had in the 70s.
Nice blog!

I have never seen anything like it..I love it! Do not polish it. If you watch Antiques Roadshow...they tell you not to polish anything..it will reduce the value..really a lovely piece.
