New Mixed Media Collage - Pug

It's been awhile since I've painted so I had fun doing this whimsical one today. It's actually a mixed media collage I did on a 16 x 12 1/2 inch wood cabinet door. I used antique hymnal song papers for the base and painted the Pug over them in acrylic. The bells on the collar are real bells that I've attached with wire.

Original mixed media Angel painting

I just finished this up and love how it turned out. The colors against the black background really pop! It's a mixed media painting that I did on a solid oak cupboard door. For the base I used antique hymnal song pages which gives it a wonderful effect and even texture. It measures 16 x 13 inches. I hope you like it. Simple..Whimsical and Plain Fun!

I finished up this large painting today and wanted to share it with you all. I really just wanted to sit down and paint something simple, whimsical and fun. It's done on a large 16 x 21 inch wood cupboard door. I then distressed the inner edges and sealed it with matte sealer. It's been awhile since I've done a Pug so it was fun to do. Imagine the fun this little Pug is having riding his/her very own seahorse! I think this would look great in someone beach cottage or cottage themed home.
