New Pattern - Halloween Cat and Unfortunate Mice

Trick or Treat,
Catnip and cheese,
Or a few plump mice,
If you please.

Ok so I started this doll back in the spring thinking I was finally for once going to get ahead of the season. Just finished up her and pattern now LOL! In any case, here she is. She can be made as a makedo or with legs. I've included instructions/template for both versions.

It's not very often I do Halloween themed stuff and when I showed my Mom this doll she was like "Ewwww! The mice are dead" LOL! Gotta give the people what they want right?

Getting back in the studio

Ahh, I am determined to get back into the studio sometime this week and finish up a couple new dolls I'm working on. It's been awhile since I put out a new pattern so that's one of my goals. I went out there and organized my supplies and cleared off my sewing table. So I have no more excuses LOL!

Those of you that have been waiting...watch for something new shortly (: Here's a sneak peek at one of them I'm working on. If I don't hurry up, she'll end up a Christmas kitty instead of a Halloween one.

New Doll Almost Finished

This doll has taken me forever to finish. Time just keeps getting away from me. She's done except for her little dolly. Hopefully, I'll get her finished shortly but I thought you all would enjoy seeing her in the meantime. Not sure what I'm going to name her yet.

I've had this urge lately to do some penny rug type creations. I have these designs dancing around in my head and tomorrow I'm off to a friends house to pick up some wool she's selling to me. As soon as I have the first creation done I'll post it on the blog so you can see it.

Past Dolls

Here are a few of my primitive dolls I've created. I hope they bring a smile to your face.

This is a fabric covered box that I attached a doll head to. I think she turned out quite prim-cute.

This doll stands about 18 inches. As you can see she has very exaggerated features. Not a doll that will appeal to everyone, but I like how she turned out.

This is a clay sculpted doll. Her features are handsculpted and then painted.

These two dolls measure 18 inches and 12 inches respectively. The little doll holds a pan of mini cinnamon buns.

Here's another clay sculpted doll. I love her little dimple and chubby cheeks.
